Technology giant Microsoft on Tuesday launched “Xbox One X” — the world’s most powerful console that brings immersive 4K gaming and 4K entertainment to gamers for Rs 44,990.
Microsoft: Microsoft’s next-generation gaming console, aka the Xbox One X, has been officially launched in India at Rs 44,990. Well, it was launched earlier on January 4, but apparently Microsoft’s Xbox One X page messed up with the availability specifics, saying the console will go on sale from January 15. Only it didn’t. On Tuesday, Microsoft hosted a press conference in the National Capital, announcing the Xbox One X will go on sale from today online from the company’s e-shop, Flipkart, and Amazon India. The Xbox One X will also be available for buying from select physical retail stores like Landmark and Croma, Microsoft has announced.
Each Xbox One X unit will ship with a 14-day Xbox Live Gold trial along with a month of Xbox Game Pass subscription trial, according to Microsoft.
“We are delighted to offer gamers the world’s most powerful console with access to the largest and most diverse games lineup in Xbox history, including Forza Motorsport 7, Assassin’s Creed: Origins, Cuphead and Super Lucky’s Tale, out of more than 1,300 titles and more than 220 exclusives available on the Xbox One X, just a few short months after the device’s global launch. We’ve listened to our community and are excited to be bringing this new console to Indian gamers,” Priyadarshi Mohapatra, country general manager, Consumer & Devices Sales, Microsoft India said.
The Xbox One X — Microsoft’s much-awaited Project Scorpio — is being touted as the world’s first true 4K console. Not only is the Xbox One X the most powerful gaming console in the world, it is also the smallest Xbox ever, according to Microsoft.

“Xbox One X” comes with power to drive native 4K resolutions, High Dynamic Range and Wide Color Gamut.
The console is the only product in the world that packs all of the following features including 4K gaming, a built-in 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray player, 4K streaming capabilities, High Dynamic Range support for gaming and video and premium audio with Dolby Atmos support.
With 40% more power than any other consoles, “Xbox One X” is where console gamers can play the best versions of games, the tech giant said.
Microsoft’s Xbox One X is finally headed to India, ending days of speculation about its arrival in the country. Pitched as the rival to Sony’s PlayStation 4 Pro, Microsoft will start selling the Xbox One X in India from January 15 at a price of Rs 44,990. The announcement was made on the company’s India site. Those interested will be able to buy the Xbox One X starting January 15 from Amazon India and Flipkart.
The Xbox One X is Microsoft’s first console designed to run games at 4K resolution natively, with some titles playable at 60 at up to frames per second. For a pro-gamer, it makes a lot of sense. Previously codenamed Project Scorpio, the console features a customized 2.3GHz CPU, a custom 40-core graphics processor paired with 6 teraflops of performance, and 12GB of GDDR5 RAM. The console is capable of outputting games at a 4K Ultra-HD resolution and takes advantage of high-dynamic range and Dolby Atmos audio.
Latest first-party games like Forza 7 will certainly look great on a 4K TV, taking advantage of Xbox One X’s hardware. Even if you own a regular 1080p TV, the console will create more detailed and sharper pictures. And if you want a console to watch movies, the Xbox One X is a better buy. After all, it comes with a 4K Ultra-HD Blu-ray player, while the PlayStation 4 Pro only has a regular Blu-ray player. Both consoles offer the ability to stream movies through Netflix and Amazon Prime video, however.
It is also the smallest and most feature-rich Xbox ever.
The console will be available online on the Microsoft India store, Amazon India, and Flipkart.
Buyers can also purchase the device from Landmark and Croma retail stores and from over 100 gaming specialty stores across the country.
The Xbox One X may not be a next-generation console, but, the mid-cycle Xbox refresh from Microsoft has enough horsepower under the hood to grant it the label of being the most powerful gaming console in the world when it arrives later this year unless Sony surprise the world. It looks powerful than the Sony PlayStation right now. At least that’s what the console’s on-paper specs seem to suggest. Take a look.
The Xbox One X ships with 6 teraflops of graphical power. Its main competitor, the Sony PlayStation 4 Pro — for your reference — ships with 4.2 teraflops of graphical power under the hood. It also ships with a UHD Blu-ray drive. Note that, although Sony’s PS4 Pro supports 4K — not natively, however — it does not include a UHD Blu-ray drive.
Scorpio’s — the engine that drives the Xbox One X — main USP is making your existing Xbox One and backward compatible-enabled Xbox 360 games look better. In more technical terms, the Xbox One X should allow players to run all 900p and 1080p Xbox One (backward compatible-enabled 360) titles at native 4K, at full 60 frames-per-second. Which means all existing Xbox One titles should look better on the Xbox One X due to enhanced visual fidelity, anisotropic filtering, and faster loading times. The new console will also work with all current Xbox One accessories, Microsoft has confirmed.
It’s really amazing gadget if you want to buy this gadget than it will available on Amazon and Flipkart and all shopping websites.in India, the price of Microsoft Xbox One X is Rs 44,990.
